Bob Fenner has passed away...

Bob was really a great teacher and leader and he will be missed. I remember being in high school reading many of his articles on reefing. His expertise and passion shaped me into the hobbyist I am today - I have a greater respect for the inhabitants we are fortunate to keep because of the articles I’ve written by Bob. My thoughts are with his friends, family and loved ones during this difficult time.

The Conscientious Marine Aquarist was the first Marine book I ever purchased. And wetwebmedia media was my go to site. Loved all his work and contributions. What a huge loss. :(My condolences to the family. Prayers for all.

One of my first purchases also. Have it in front of me now. Such a great loss to us all. Condolences to the family.

What a shock. I was in communication with him just a couple days before this. How things happen when you least expect it...….

WWM has been a great resource for me. My condolences are with his family and loved ones. May he RIP.

I read his book in 2006 when i started on a recommendation from kid at fish store. I seemed to align with his theories vs. other hobbyists.

So much time has passed. Over the years i found it fascinating to read his responses to keeping Angels and other fishes on WWM forums. Many sleepless internet research nights i poured through that text.

Maybe tonight ill go read a few conversations on WWM. The guy is a reef legend. RiP.

That sucks! His website wetwebmedia was my first foray into salt water. He even personally responded to a lot of questions, even some I asked! Great, passionate guy. His book Conscientious marine Aquarist is on my bookshelf right now.
