I’ve done that, it seems pretty good at first sight, I don’t know if you’re planning to use that water for your tank….. using seawater for your system seems to be practical, but the problem is you cannot control the pathogens and bacteria that are coming in your system, unless you’re passing the water through a powerful UV sterilizer, another aspect is that Atlantic water has not the optimal trace elements that are included in most of the mixing salts we have in the market, that’s the main reason here in the Atlantic ocean we don’t have such a beautiful Corals they have in Indonesia, Australia on the Red Sea, otherwise we would have beautiful aqua porous here in the Caribbean and the Atlantic, if you just keep fish and LPS it could work for you as long as you have a big butt UV sterilizer

Yes, I have. I collect ICP samples on my last day of diving sometimes just for fun. Here is a water sample from a dive site in Fiji, December 13, 2024. I collected this over a reef crest on my safety stop.

Interesting magnesium was 1600. And salinity 1.029. The rest looks like aquarium numbers to me.
