We have pressure!!!!

One small, yet absolutely important piece. The Flow Restrictor. It was originally connected to the ASO which needs to connect to the pressure switch.

Ok so you know you normally have 60 psi which is pretty good actually.

So this is definitely an issue with the hookup. Are you sure the flow restrictor is in and in the proper place and direction?

Sorry but had to quote my own post lol

Glad you found the issue [emoji41]

Not the easiest thing to hook up in my opinion. Once you've been through it then you look back like.... oh that was easy lol [emoji23]

Congrats! [emoji41]

Sure hope I was a help and not a hindrance . [emoji4]

You've been very helpful. I learned a lot and hopefully can start to help others now.

Wife and I are laughing about how simple the solution was. I read the manual (multiple times) and your post which mentioned the flow restrictor. Never seen one before so I was thinking of the ASO valve. The flow restrictor actual fell out when I pulled the tube but I had no idea what it was for so I just put it aside.

Hi guys,

Brand new SpectraPure MaxCap 2:1 Manual Flush 90-GPD RO/DI and Booster Pump Kit.

Pump does not turn on unless I bypass the pressure switch. When bypassed, pump turns on but the pressure is the same as turned off which is around 20psi. Adjusted the pressure on the pump but makes absolutely no difference.

Below are a few pictures. What am I doing wrong or what part might be faulty? I have reached out SpectraPure. Waiting for a response.

That collection tank needs a flow switch to prevent overflowing and a disaster, my opinion I don't use booster pump on mine and I have no issues so far

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
