Thanks in advance!
Recently some of my Zoas started shriveling and closing up. Parameters are all fine, so I started inspecting closely and found a few different things that could be causing it. Would greatly appreciate ID & Treatment advice
I believe to be Hydroids. I see 1-2 on every Zoa frag.
Boring Spionid Worm?? These guys look like tiny tubes with clear filament like tentacles coming out. Pretty sure theyāre Boring Spionid Worms. Iāve tried multiple dips and nothing seems to faze them.
I was told the Crawlers were "Zoa Spiders" They are microscopic & l only find them on the stock/frag plug. Zoa spiders are usually in the mouth area. I did a Revive dip which didn't help, I then tried an lodine dip which eliminated them completely off the frags but, later repopulated since they're in the sand bed aswell. Since they donāt seem to cause visible damage, Iāve been assuming theyāre harmless for now
they move pretty slow, they do not dart around like pods.
Clear Hair Like film that forms around some polyps. Iāve dealt with this before and used a high ratio of hydrogen peroxide, which removed it but burnt the Zoa patterns ( I have Speckled Strats now lol..) Not sure if itās bacterial, hydroid, or something else entirely.
