Hi everyone, my cubicus boxfish has this huge spot on its lower left quad >>see attached.

No idea where it came from, he did not eat today so I am a bit worried about him as he is normally voracious.

Water parameters are fine, salts a little high at 1.027 (normally kept at 1.025) but nothing abnormal.

Unfortunately I dont have much experience with treating fish, but Im sure someone with more experience will chime in. Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like maybe an external parasite of some kind? Maybe a freshwater dip would help.

He passed last night, I thought it might have been a virus but when he was floating around the tank I scooped him and saw it was a puncture. Something bit him or he impaled himself on something. Odd because all I have is two clowns, Rainsford goby and a Pygmy hawkfish. May never know who the culprit is. Thank you for the insight however!
