Thinking… should the new build be a new thread or keep this one rollin rollin…

My vote is for a new thread with a link to the new thread at the end of this thread.

I look at it like this; if you were to rebuild a '66 Chevelle and then started rebuilding a '67 Chevelle would the '67 need/deserve it's own build thread?

While being similar, it's a completely new challenge of its own.

Thanks for the recommendations! Since I cant pick a side ill start 2 threads one for the sump and one for the tank

I like to edit the first post also and add the link there.

And don't forget to start a thread about your other threads that consolidates and catalogs your build threads and then of course a thread to introduce your threads would be ideal.

I don't think it matters one way or the other, except, if you are keeping both tanks running not just during the transition but long term then a new thread may be appropriate. If the old tank is going bye bye then why I new thread? The upside is that the old tank is fully documented and the new tank is fully documented but your 'journey' is now fragmented. I care much more about the reefer than the reef.

I don't know how many interesting threads I've followed only to end up where the tank was torn down and the reefer went in a whole different direction on their next build. I did a new thread when I went from the Waterbox nano to the lagoon. I don't think anyone has read my Waterbox thread in years. It is just wasted space that will end up being read by some AI agent in a few years and then burned. Useless.

Im over a year in this but still learning a bit more the R2R etiquete… slowly replacing social media with this place, people here are awesome!!
