Box Of Crayons

Got blessing from wife on peninsula style convinced her with PVC Mockup and the AI pictures. Next step get quote / design through my buddies @Acro76 @CherryCorals and place the order with @Joe Glass Cages !!!

Why is tank build/planing process so exhilarating and fun???

Because you get to figure out exactly what you want!

Plus, many of us simply enjoy designing and building things, regardless of what they may be. Additionally, the feeling of accomplishment that accompanies successfully designing and building things is second to none.
Heck yeah!

I wanted to use the "money" reaction all the way until I read about the esp8266. That's always a big disappointment to get so close and have a bad part.

Did you print the feeder in the orientation that we are seeing it in the picture?

Lol I have 2 different esp the larger one works but I would need to print a larger opening, what you see open is where the electronics would be.

Yeah I printed that orientation you see the pic

Cool.

It looks like you ironed it and may need to adjust your ironing settings for that filament. When i very first started 3D printing, I had the same issue, made some adjustments and got much better ironing results. Also, hitting prints with a heat gun is beneficial as it rids them of any hair/string. Just be careful and don't do like I did, the first time, and warp the print.

Ive burnt my fingers lol, need to look at the ironing for sure any setting tips?

Bingo it sort of works… ish..

It's usually best to look up the filament to see good settings on that particular filament. Plus, there will sometimes be further adjustments as your printing environment may be different.

Is it just me or is the auger spinning the wrong way?

Not just you, i thought so, changed the direction in the code and the food does not come out.

Maybe I designed it wrong 😂😂

Simple fix. 😉

No that is the correct direction--I think. I go look at the Plank Mini next time it feeds (10am MST).

That is the way the Plank Mini auger works. It does take a few revolutions to get enough feed in the auger for a consistent feed but it travels down the auger to the open end so the reverse of most augers where you want the dispensing up the auger toward the power input end.

Ok checks out! I think I need to print a larger casing because the esp8266 mini does not fit.. it has a wifi module but I don't think I will use that. Or maybe order a smaller module 😂

The other mini project ill start next month is stoping water changes with the Neptune dos and using this with an alexa timer plug to more accurately do water changes since it moves both dosing heads the same amount….

The plus… I just got a free Neptune dos by changing to this peristaltic pump… well Neptune dos for $57 bucks 😂😂

That’s exciting news! Congratulations 🎉
New tank day on the horizon.
Yes!!! Thank you!! Not sure what is a better patience simulator, waiting for a new tank or for the current tank to mature and grow.
