Brace help!!

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes...So I got this monster of a tank second hand 980ltrs including sump, it has a broken glass brace on the top, I plan to replace it but my question is can i fill the tank and replace it at a later date just so I can get the tank cycling? Thanks

In my opinion, I would highly recommend replacing now before you try to fill it, for both safety and ease reasons.
