Honestly if I can avoid AC going above water, I do. I am going to run wires from the supplies inside paintable wall track. That way it blends in.

Why no ac above tank. Water leaks and drips down.

Doesn't need to be a synergy or another expensive brand.

Additionally, a 20g tall would be great too.. you want it taller than long if possible.

You could also go to the local glass shop with a cut list for some 1/4” plate glass and make your own custom reservoir. Some silicone and painter’s tape is all you need to assemble it. Good project for the little hippie kid. Has anyone told you today that you are a great mom?

That's a good point.. some nice black silicone would look nice too. A few large clamps from harbor freight, some tape... And if the price is right you can get smoked glass.

If something falls in, rust can cause issues. Whereas if it's DC there is less danger in my opinion.

For example (and this pic is about 15 years old) I only had vertical space under my 75 gallon stand. So I built this reservoir to fit in that space. 16 gallons.

Very affordable compared to others, and, if I know Will, they are going to be very nice looking.

Thank you. I'm trying to give him everything on his wish list. This will be our last tank together. He'll be off to school before I'm even ready.
