Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

I was wondering if I should paint the back of the tank? I think I'll experiment with construction paper before it gets wet. I also thought about window cling.

black background, 110%!

Does everybody think this hard about a new build? So many things to consider. It's almost like building a real house.

I recommend you never get into house building.

Just got home from work, and i dont get it. I have a cover on my tank yet a Barred Dartfish jumped out?!?!? I need help... what can i do different?
Dang. I'm sorry :( look, Andrew's clowns jump through an add on fish saver guard sometimes.

No. I gutted a Victorian once. It was worth it.

I love old Victorians! Building a house and remodeling a house a two entirely different things.

I have a cover on mine and lost a clown fish to jumping.

I very much love things with character that need a little TLC to make them beautiful again. New houses would overwhelm me. I do well if I'm allowed choices of things, not free range. I like a challenge of making things "work" like retro fitting.

I used windo tint for mine, it came out nice. Piece of advice I got and I think it worked. I put nail polish top coat around the entire edge of the tint to keep water from getting under it.

unless you scrape the back what's the point of painting it or using a background?
I can't stand a coraline covered back glass... mine is perfectly clean and black.

I know some people strive for the coraline wall, and would be horrified to know I scrape tons of it off my glass.
