Thanks! I still have to fine tune some things but the results have been even better than I expected. The new growth is amazing. I think I've posted this comparison before but...
Here it was on 11/30/18 with one pump

And here it is 2 months later. The growth of the Acro's across the top of the tank still makes me giddy!

Your tank is wide.
It was a good call to add the second pair of XF-250's to cover the complete surface of the tank.
Beautiful progress shot!

Thanks!

I love having the 30" front to back from a landscaping aspect and the fish love it, too. It knew it would cause some challenges with lighting. I did not expect to have the issues with flow that I did. It looked like I was getting better flow than I was but when I did a bubble test I saw much of the water wasn't being pushed forward. It was curling to the outside walls of the tank and stopping. Definitely not a problem anymore.

I need to catch up on a lot of journals! ;)
Looking very nice, pic 2 by the way. :)
Thanks! I've fallen behind on them too. :(

On the positive side, it is mostly because they have been so active that keeping up has been a challenge. Very entertaining conversations though!

Attempting a sunset photo of the tank

Quick phone pic. I'm calling that a failure. The tank looks so amazing during the sunset mode but I can't capture it in pictures.

I'm going to look at a 30x30x19 tank today. I would like your input on flow if I get it. Why reinvent the wheel? If you know what works, I may replicate it if you don't mind.
I'll be glad to help! Best advice I can give for now is to set up your tank and get it aquascaped the way you want it. Then figure out how you are going to provide the flow it needs.
The other option (and what I did) is to pick what kind of flow you want and make the aquascape work for it. To get nice gyres established you need open channels for the flow along the bottom of the tank. Even my big rock cluster on the lefts has cave openings on the sides to let flow through unrestricted.

Trust me, it looked much worse in person! And the aroma was less than wonderful! Glad it was warm enough today to clean them outside!

I noticed something odd with my Anemone on Saturday night but I was busy and only looked in passing. Yesterday morning I realized it had split. I now have 2 BTA's in my tank. Kinda nervous about where both halves will settle in.

That's fantastic!

Lemme know if you want to sell one. I haven't found one locally for a decent price.
Unless he hides in the back somewhere I don't really have room for 2. Getting one out will be quite the pain. ;Blackeye
