Bristhleworm

I found a bristlworm in my tank.:ops: It's over 10 cm. I'm not sure when it came to my tank because I don't have live rock and live sand.
Anyway, Is this safe for fish and corals? Does anybody know how to get rid of it?

Pull it out if you can with tweezers or something they will sting you. They normally hide in the rock, wrasses will eat them. But generally they are a pest.

I'd leave it unless you have evidence of it causing a problem. I have many in my tanks, a couple over 18 inches long. I consider them an important part of the cleanup crew.

I agree on the keep it part. There is nothing wrong with them being in the tank. If you have one odds are you have many more.

I have plenty in my tank, they don't seem to hurt anything. At least not yet.

Hmm.. everybody has it. My wife really dislikes worms. If there are many more and they are seen frequently, she'll destroy and throw my tank away.

I bought a trap from the aquarium store its a tube and you put food in eat and when the worms go in there they cant come back out. Works good and you can borrow it if you would like.

I just leave them in there now i never see them doing any harm

Also to did i read that you dont have any rock or sand? or did you mean live rock

BHAMR6, I mean live rock. I have about 5 inch deep crushed coral+sand and small larva rocks. I know it's not a usual setting.:wink: I'd like to use that trap if I can see it more often. Thanks...

No problem just let me know and i can meet you with it one day. If you put it with the food he will come out at night and go inside then you just throw him out
