I know there are a few ties out there, some say that they are ok, good and even bad... guess it all depends on the persons tank.

I just found one in my 29gal system... never noticed it before and the last time I bought something was a few months ago.. Sneaky lil booger!

My question is... is this one of the small breads or is this one that will be growing to a larger size?? I know I can wait and find out, but whats the fun in not knowing :)

Here is a picture I took... Sorry for the quality.. It is from the video that I also posted incase you need a better look at it.

Actually, I don't know of any bad micro brittle stars. If you have one most likely there are many others. Look at your tank about an hour after lights out with a red flashlight. Look for little legs coming out of the sand bed or pick up a rock and look underneath.

In my personal tank at home, I have many of these little brittle stars. Sad to say, they remain tiny. However, they aren't a pest. My tank is about 3 years old

I have many micro-brittle stars in all my tanks. They will not hurt anything, they are actually a good part of the cleanup crew as they will eat dead or decaying material such as left over food that your fish don't get to.

I just noticed one that must have hitched a ride. He's only about 3/4" from tip to tip. After seeing his whole body about a month ago, I only see his legs sticking out of different pin hole cracks. He stays in the same 6" square area so I see his legs every day. I was hoping he'd grow but I've been told he would stay tiny.
