Hey,

I think my pectinia seems to have caught brown jelly disease, the stylophora piece nearby also had necrosis over night as well. At least I think its brown jelly? The half of the pectinia looked like its totally covered with brown gel. Nothing else as of now. The mother colony of the stylophora is still fine however, should I do anything to stop it from spreading to other corals?

The only noticable change that happened was a two degree drop in tank temperature these past couple of weeks to 76 degrees.

Could the pectinia have stung the Stylo and the dead tissue drift onto the pectinia? I've made that mistake more than once. Recently had a pectinia light a cristata up and thought the same thing. Looked like bjd,I cleaned it off and quickly realized what had happened.
