Hey all, I've been fighting what I thought was green hair algae for quite awhile. There are some areas it's growing rather thick, almost like bryopsis. Can anyone identify? I thought bryopsis felt firm this still feels very hairy and soft.

Saying GHA too. I just peroxided a rock today. Darn stuff.
Thanks! Thats what I need to do. I'm picking up a couple lettuce nudibranchs and a sea hare tomorrow to try that approach first. If that fails I'm definitely doing some reef dentistry.

Tank started in december so fairly new. My last test was 11 nitrates & .04 phosphates but they do jump around a bit- this recent algae explosion was caused by a clogged return pump line so I'm recovering from that. I am using media baskets in chamber 2& 3 in a fluval 13.5. First chamber has floss, sponge, chemipure elite, purigen and matrix & 2 brightwell xport bio blocks. 2nd chamber has chaeto refugium. And 3rd chamber has a ai axis 40 with an aqua uv 8w classic plumbed in line. Dosing all for reef as needed, as well as microbacter clean and sometimes I feed corals if my nutrients aren't too high already. I'll be at a frag swap tomorrow, getting a couple lettuce nudis, a sea hare to help. Already have 3 different kinda shrimp, 3 emeralds and a porcelain if they're all still alive. Mexican turbos, a bunch of hermits and probably more cuc than I should. I run an ai blade with par levels around what I need for lps dominant tank. Schedule below, i barely run any whites. Any tips?
