BTA New Years Present Sick?

Woke up this morning to find I had 2 BTA’s. It split! :)

I was so excited. For once, I looked in the tank and something positive was staring back at me. I’ve had a lot of tank drama :p:)

Well, the original BTA is splitting again. Is this normal?

Here’s a pic..#1 is the original. He’s been in that spot for over a year, #2 was the first split..He has moved down from original spot and #3 started this afternoon.

Been feeding him? Tank parameters changed? Mine split 3 weeks ago, (California Rainbow BTA).

Mine is a Rose Tip..Feed him a piece of mysis or LRF every couple days. Corals get A mix of 1tsp Reef Roids mixed with 1tsp each of Reef Nutrition Phyto Feast/Artic Pods/Oyster Feast twice a week. Red Sea A&B every other day.

That's why, you really don't need to feed them so much. Maybe a piece of krill once a month. If you feed too much it could rot inside of them.

Was following LFS instructions. He had grown a good bit, and would occasionally catch a piece of food when I fed the fish. I should have taken that into consideration. Hopefully, I haven’t caused any permanent damage. Makes me nuts when my tank suffers because I haven’t done enough of my own research.

Update on my BTA's another one split, so now have 3!!

Mine split into 3 overnight a couple months ago. Saw it split into 2, woke up and it had split a third. All 3 are still very healthy

We had a cold front come in yesterday. It’s online 59 today. Wohoo!! It’s the equivalent of a deep freeze to people in Florida!
