What is the temperature where it will be staying? Odds aren’t great regardless after 4 days, but worse if the temp is greater than 75-80 F. Lower temps would be better as it slows metabolic activity reducing oxygen consumption and waste output. Any chance they could pull it from the container and at least store in a temp controlled area? Any chance if someone local could pick it up they would pull it? Maybe you could find a local reefer or lfs willing to help out?
temperature will be quite low-ish, it will stay tonight in a warehouse in paris (atm at night in paris is 9c so warehouse will be around 15/20 i presume, then it will stay 2 night in warehouse near to were i live and here we're at 1400mt, temperature will be around 10/15 i presume. not many chanche to handling it, the guy who sold it to me is an idiot. I payd for 24hr shipping (deposit before 12.00 and receive it before 12 the day after), and this idiot brought it in the afternoon at the post office so it will stay there all night, ship tomorrow morning, and arrive here wensday where i will not be here to take it until thursday (and i told him 3 times that if could not ship it by the morning to just wait till wensday).
i am trying to find someone to get the package, problem is find someone to get the package and do all the rest a tiny bit properly. anyway i will get them straight in hospital tank as soon as i can....how long you think i will have to keep them in there? like if i see movement is ok to put them in the tank ? i keep them one night? more? less? sry but is my first one and i rly don't know how to handle them
If it arrives alive and seems ok after 24 hours move it, if it looks bad, might need longer. It will most likely have bleached even if it survives. When it bleached, it expels zooxanthelle, so expect the water it arrives in to be really cloudy and gross looking. If someone can pick it up float the bag, and put it in a 5 gallon bucket (or any tank, tub,etc. available) with clean water and the right temperature, it would be significantly better than letting it sit for another 12+ hours in the cold. Even if they do nothing else. You could prep the tank/tub/bucket for them. Give them a strainer/colander/net they can use to dump the water it arrives in and transfer to clean water.

that is a very, very good possibility, and i tell you more, the 23 october i will have to go away for 3weeks and most likely no one can come to see the tank. i am setting up for a great **** up or a very, very lucky day. But the idiot who sell me the nem did it a really good price so i could not say no (because i am probably an idiot too :( )
i don't have a hospital tank, i have put it in a 2 liter container with water from the display and a power head that keep water muving, the nem is inside a plastic pan (like the one for ricotta cheese) so it's safe from powerhead. what is wrong with that? should add areator?
