Tried to find a similar topic but couldn't find anything exactly the same

Have 3 BTAs in my 160L tank. They're healthy and feeding well, but over the last 2 days have seen some tentacle tips on the sand for one of the nems. Photo below

BTA tentacle

Haven't changed any lighting, flow or any other parameters. This split a couple of months ago and has been happily in the same place for weeks.

Have taken it out of the tank as I'm concerned about it rotting away.

Anyone have any experience with something similar? The nem looks perfectly fine, but wondering if it's something to be concerned about

Either split or stress from high lighting or water flow
