I have a BTA was a nice green and purple. He wandered around the tank for about a month till he decided to live in the darkest corner of the clowns clay pot. And that’s where he has stayed for about 3-4 months now. Lost all his colour he. I feed him and he eats it. His mouth is closed not gaping open. His tentacles are nice and full bubbles. About a month ago he split in 3. Part remains in the dark corner of the clay pot. The other 2 parts have found dark spots under rock overhangs.
