Noticed the unfortunate sight of Aptaisa in my nem tank. Will peppermints hurt the BTAs? I will use f Aptaisa but there’s always more than you can see.

I’ve had both in my tanks in the past and didn’t have an issue as long as they were fed well.

When I newly introduced a BTA, the one of the shrimps in the pair kept getting close but was scared away by a porcelain crab in the BTA. Seemed the shrimp was curious about it. But a BTA I had in before was invisible to it.

just had a problem with PS and RBTA. i added a new RBTA to my tank and 10 seconds in the tank both peppermint shrimp were trying to eat him. he is healthy but small, clowns had and have not noticed him yet so he has no defence. i moved both shrimps to sump for now. once clowns host nem i will try to add shrimp back to display hoping that the clowns will keep the shrimp at bay

When my pep got bigger (3”) he continued to bother my BTA.
It never extended anymore and over months, shrunk to the size of a dime, then disappeared.
