Hi, i have a 150L tank and 1 week ago i introduced 2 clown 1 firefish, and mix corals. Everything is doing okay, but for some reason my anemone does not inflate, the clown fish are hosting the anemone even thogh it is deflated. I dont know why, i think is because its on the low flow area of the tank? Please give me your thoughts.
Setup:
1x AI prime 16HD
1x 4000L/H wavemaker one one side on sine wave mode
1200L/H return pump on other side
Calcium and magnesium are on point, but my KH is low (5.5-6) for some reason
PH = 8.2
Ammonia nitrate close to zero
Phosphates = 0.06

The rest of the corals are doing perfectly including my favia and screropora

I have a Bubble tip in my tank going on 2 years and it lost its bubbles within the 1st week of me getting it. it will bubble up in some sections, but the majority of the time it's not inflated and its as healthy as can be. It's only split once since I've had it so I know it's not stressed in any way.

Sometimes that's just the way of the Bubble Tip. Sometimes maybe good, and sometimes maybe poop!

1 month, used turbo start to cycle it. Its been 1 week since i introduced the fish in the tank and ammonia or nitrite hasnt spiked
Anemones need a mature tank of 6 months but not always, to me the anemone looks healthy but the clowns could be bothering it causing it to stay smaller

Anemones have a mind of their own! Mine didn’t like a lot of light nor flow. Maybe try changing some of those parameters. But I agree that it looks healthy, just annoyed at something.

Okay, i ordered a new stronger return pump ( outlet flows towards the anemone), hopefully a higher flow rate will fix this issue, note that i owned the same anemone and fish for 1 year prior, the tank is an upgrade from my previous 60L one, so the fish were always around the anemone, however they werent hosting it, and at the time it was massive. So yea the fish are probably annoying, there isnt anything i can do about that tho is there???

Youll have to separate the clown from it at least 3 days. Moderate light and water flo. Too much flow stresses them causing them to hide and too little or too much light prevents them from utilizing zooxanthellae which is their energy and color source.

The clown is irritating it keep them separate. My hermit crab likes to eat around my BTA and it’ll close up just like yours.
