bubble algae

Ok so I got some bubble algae from a frag I bought. there is only one little bubble but i'm wondering the best way to get rid of it. i physically removed it but i'm afraid it'll come back. got any suggestions?

emerald crabs they did an awesome job. i bought two of them and it was clear in just a couple of days

They can be tricky little buggers though. When first added(IME) they go to town on algae, then after a while they seem to lose interest. :(

yeah i'm afraid they'll get use to the daily feedings and stop going after the algae

I have even heard of them keeping a small garden of b.algae as a food source and not consuming it all... could be an old wives tale though.

well mine still seem to be picking at algae an i have had them for a couple months now i see them all through out the day picking.

the only down fall i have found with the little guys is one found a hole next to my gbta and kept nipping at it looking for space. but he has now finally moved on from that spot and my bta is back to normal

Just pick them off as they appear. They are only in a reproductive state for a short amount of time. Gotta figure emerald crabs burst them to eat them.

all i know is i tried to pick them out and they released spores all over my tank then i got two emerald crabs and bye bye they went
