Bubble magus mini q buzzing

Hey i iust upgraded my skimmer since my old one stopped working. Its brand new and after installing it'll run for a bit then start making this noise. Not sure how to diagnose and fix it.. anyone have similar experiences or advice

I was thinking that, have it running for the day while im gone but it was working fine for 5m, I took it apart and rebuilt it and it started working for half an hour and the problem came back.

Hopefully the video captures the audio but it isn't a quiet functioning buzz its a rattling and vibrating buzz, almost like its being choked

Wow! Sounds like something in the impeller. I can't remember if there are any bushing that can get lost or not

That is weird, mine doesn't make that noise at all! I agree, I think the impeller is improperly seated maybe?

It seems like it may be sucking in too much, I tried to reseat the propeller, run it without the O ring, reattach all the parts and nothing seems to be working. It may work randomly for a couple minutes and then start buzzing. Ive adjusted water level too

Mine is on the shelf for now but when I ran it there was no noise like that regardless the water level. It has to be something with the impeller. There are no other moving parts.

Just contacted bubble magus in case but I bought it off Amazon, think its not sitting right?

Just looked at mine and there really is no way to install the impeller wrong and no bushings.

Mine sounds like yours if I run it out of water but as soon as it's submerged is gets quiet so I'm not sure what the problem is

I thought the water was the issue but fully submerged, slightly above, at the water level none of it fixes it. Did you ever have issues with the o ring not working?

I remember having an issues once but it wasn't noisy it just wasn't skimming very well. IIRC it wasn't seated correctly.
I just stuck mine in a container of water without even having the cup on and as soon as water filled enough the impeller was covered it got quiet.

Im having a skimming issue with it, I can try it later but did you just fully submerge it? After it buzzes it stops skimming.

I did not fully submerge it. It almost sounds maybe the chamber it is in is too small and running dry when the skimmer is turned on.

It looks like that in the video. If you look at the pump you can see it almost looks like its running out right?
