Bubble on Duncan Coral

Does anyone know what's going on with my Duncan? It's been shrunken the last day and a half or so. Its got this big bubble coming off of the skeleton. I've seen around that it might be a new head forming however i'm just worried about it being shrunken in for so long.

New heads don't look like that.
Hopefully someone with knowledge will chime in.
*white light picture MIGHT help others see it better -- does it look like it's the actual duncan flesh just bloated out?

Based on research. Its still pretty rare but not unheard of. Torches tend to do it under stress or splitting.

I've seen a few duncans but nothing to this extreme.

Is the bubble separate or part of the fleshband?

Seems like its on the skeleton not on the flesh.

Had it for a couple of months. It's always been really open and seemed like its thriving.

Phos - .05
Nitrate - 15
Cal - 450
Mag - 1350

The bubble actually looks to be part of the flesh. The image is blue, but it looks like the tissue is otherwise healthy-looking.

I am by no means a Duncan expert, but a few weeks ago my Duncan started retracting and looking odd and then closed up under stable parameters after 2 months in the tank, and I got concerned. After 2-3 days it re-opened, and a week later I saw 3-4 baby Duncans on the side.

Not sure about the bubbling, but it may just be part of the life cycle if all else looks fine even though it looks a bit retracted.

Unfortunately not, I found out it was salinity. I had a meter giving me a wrong number
