My bubble tip anemone has been shrinking all day today
I see his mouth is open, and it looks like a white thing came out from his mouth?

He was doing fine till yesterday and even though he was releasing brown thing every day. I changed 40% of water yesterday and I accidentally dropped the light into the tank and it may have hit him.... It seems like he was doing fine after that though. When I woke up today I noticed that he got so small...
Could someone please advise me what to do?

Tank info
30 gallon tank (10 months old), 2 crown fishes, 1 cleaner shrimp
I do not have a protein skinner yet (I just got BTA like a month ago), I have hang on filter.

Thank you SO MUCH in advance!!

Pics didn’t load. Brown stings are usually poop and white is it’s insides.
I’m sure it’s from the light situation you had.

Mine does that daily, usually around when lights go out. Not sure why but it’s always fine the next morning. Hoping yours looks better today.

Don't fear just yet - they sometimes deflate, mine do it daily aswell.. also aslong as he sticks to the rock he's alive, never try to pull him off, if you rip his foot, it'll take a while to recover.
Post parameters, it could be that your water is too clean (no po4 & nitrates are bad), also please post your tank parameters.

Also - that's not a Bubble Tip Anemone, it's a Condylactis Anemone, and these become massive (up to 50cm or 20 inches in diameter)

I have had them look WAY worse and bounce back better than ever. No need to remove unless it is actually falling apart in my opinion. Remember they move to where THEY want. So if its tucked away right now. It may be trying to avoid the light or flow for a bit. Let it do its thing and just keep an eye on it.
