Bubble Tip Rookie. Help.

So I got a BTA from the LFS on a piece of live rock I bought when I started my tank. It has survived through the small cycle I had and I have no idea what to do for it.

I have spot fed it with mysis and it eats it right up.

also it moves behind the rock at night and back out front during the day. Sometimes it stays hidden for a day and then comes back out. Is that normal?

Was the anemone that color when you got it, or has the color faded over time?

Leave it be. Give it moderate light and if it has a place to hide that is good. Looks like it may be bleached and if the tank is newer, just keep things stable best you can

well, that's not good. Your anemone is bleaching

Anemone became very bleached and consumed/ spat out its zooxanth which is a bad sign of stress/ last attempt of life. It can recover if moving forward they are no stressor events , I had an anemone bleach on me also and it’s still recovering. Mine bleached because it went from bottom of tank to top , and got hit with 800 par lol

Since the anemone has bleached, but it's still alive. I'd just give it time. If it managed to survive your tank cycle it could survive a lot. Just keep an eye on it and keep doing what you're doing.

There's very few threads on this topic so I'm jumping in on this one. How's it doing today and did you "do" anything or just leave it alone?
