Bubble tip splitting frequency

I’ve got a rose BTA that is about 10 inches now and has never split and a lot of 1-3 inch ultra speckled BTAs that split every 2-3 days. What do y’all think influences the frequency of a BTA splitting?

They seem to split as a survival and territory occupation strategy. Newly moved nems are reported to split right after they are moved. How they decide which stratgy to execute has not been illuminated in my experience but I am certain someone has a better idea why/how they make up their nural net decisions to devide or not.
