Anyone successfully keeping BTA's under LED's? If so would anyone mind sharing tank/lighting specs? Thanks in advance.

I have had my BTA under LED's for about 6 months. The anenome came to me around 3" and is now 5". I have a Goldflake Clown who makes sweet love to it all day/night as well. My lights are Orphek PR-156xp LED 120 watt. My lights do not currently dim so my tank is very high par.

The anenome was placed on the darker side of a large 20lb boulder in semi shade. The current was low-med. The aneonme over the course of a 3 days worked around to a higher current location on the edge of high par direct lighting. Currently, it moves back and fourth a few inches; sometimes to darker, lower par areas. The anenome is only fed by the clownfish but is very healthy and colorful.

Good Luck Reefer.

I'm not sure what the concern would be with BTAs with regards to LED lighting....anemones will do well under any lighting currently in our hobby so long as it is bright enough to maintain its zooxanthellae symbiosis without bleaching it....
I think the bigger question is "how do they look" under LEDs, which I personally had issue with. I was never able to get the color or saturation I liked under them and so I went to T5s and never looked back...

Thanks everyone for all the responses.....my concern is that after keeping a RBTA successfully under metal halides for 3 years(and it never moved once) I switched to LED's. It started moving all over my tank and eventually fell prey to my powerhead. Just wanted to gauge everyone's success with LED's. Thanks again.

I have to agree with the poster. When I switched from MH to LEDs my nems did not like it. They started running, deflating, and splitting. After a month or 2 in "hiding" the ones I kept started venturing up on into the light and now love it. I have to wonder if perhaps the LED "concentration" might cause them some irritation?

Mine can't find a place it likes under my DIY with cree LEDs. But I've changed power heads and have never owned a GBTA to know how much light they actually want. Sharing my experience, but full disclosure... I am a noob...

I run the opposite side of the coin.

I have an 8x54 w t5 setup and run a 48" sb reef light antic led bar.

Best of both worlds.
