It is an interesting method for a building a tank. I am sure that a diamond saw was used to put the mitered edge on the glass. Many glass tables have beveled edges so I am sure a similar process could be used for these tanks. I would want to see one in person and get some user reviews before making a purchase. There were several partner LFS listed on the website so you might want to make a few calls or visit one of these stores if they have a tank in stock or on display.
