I'm assuming the lights are anchored in the ceiling. Care to post a pic? I'd like to see what it looks like.
Sorry man, I guess I owe you a picture. Haven't updated in awhile. My fish list is almost done but I've got a ways to go on the coral. Anyone know if a bellus angel and a venustus angel would be compatible?

She was touch and go for the longest time. The damm yellow tang wouldn't leave her alone for the better part of a month. After that they apparently worked it out and they now "school" together. I had 2 aptasia; now I have zero.

Fantastic, Dave! I guess those Ocean Revive LEDs are working well!

Enjoyed reading through your build Dave! Really cool tank, as much as I'd love to have that mix of sand, I decided to go BB this time. I might have to change that at some point lol.

Thanks, all. The OR lights are fine for growing colorful corals but this isn't my first attempt with these lights. I even have to dim them a bit once the corals became acclimated. Black sand is MANDATORY as my wife really likes the look of it even though I prefer BB. Everything you see is about 6 months young but it has all been doing well with the exception of a few DW acros frags that didn't fare too well. I just set up the calcium doser today as I've had a problem recently maintaining stable calcium levels.

Looks great Dave. I have had good results with my OR lights. Took me a while to get them dialed in for good color. Growth isn't great but my color is popping, even on some acros like PM and purple bonsai.

Thanks, Chris. I'm more into the color than the growth anyways; my corals usually outgrow their box anyways. You do get some unusual colors under LEDs, though.

looks good, Dave. How's your PM doing?
It's doing fine. No real growth but no recession either. It is a SLOOOOOW one so I'm in no hurry. It will be many years before it looks like yours. Have your corals acclimated to the LEDs yet?

They have just about acclimated. I really had to bump up the intensity to get the kind of output they were used to. I had a little bleaching from the base which I attribute to the lower light output. Those are definitely some stressful times while trying to get the lighting adjusted.

Corals are strange -- case in point: I've been turning my LED intensity down and the colors seem to be improving!

Here's a FTS. Generally not a fan of FTS but felt it was warranted. It is hard to get the brightness correct for all the coral; the upper ones tend to be over exposed and the lower ones under exposed IMO. Given the fact this tank was set up in February I'm pretty pleased with how far it has come in so little time.
