Building a Chaetomorpha reactor

Hello all:
I know there are a few posts about this already so I apologize for the redundancy.

I have a tlf phosban reactor I am planning to convert to a Chaeto reactor.

Have some specific questions:

Was going to buy these:

Can anyone recommend this or something better??

I started to read that the LED strip lights over heat and can deform and crack the the phosban reactor. Is this true has anyone experience this?

Is it true the power cord easily burns out and I should get another one with higher voltage?

Overall please share your experience making a diy chaeto reactor? Is this a bad idea??

Check out fishofhex’s video on his DIY reactor. Worked for him well.
