Bulk Reef Supply Going Down Hill

I ordered live corals from them. It states on their website cut off time is 12 est on Wednesday. Anything after that will ship the next week. So I placed an order at 12:40 est on Wednesday. Thinking the shipment will be sent on the following Monday. Well to my surprise I received an email from ORA on Wednesday at 5pm that the shipment was shipped already! Unfortunately I was called on a last minute business trip and would not be home for several days!! I called Bulkreefsupply and customer service said they would try to call FedEx and stop it. Unfortunately they couldn't stop it. So they said just "throw it away" and we will send a new shipment on Monday. Well they never did! I've called them numerous times and no one helps. This has now been several weeks since the order was put through
This is THEIR MISTAKE AND THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING! I told them I'll put a charge back on my credit card but that doesn't seem to make a difference to them. It just seems like they don't care anymore! Bulk Reef Supply is not the same!!!

You have got to be kidding...

1. BRS is just a storefront for ORA. A middleman. It no different than you ordering straight from ORA.

2. You shouldn't have placed the order in the first place if you are not going to be home. You are betting hundreds of dollars on a 40 min time window?!?! LoL.

This has nothing to do with BRS and I don't even like them after they got so big. Have some personal responsibility....

A cut off time is a cut off time!! It doesn't say approximately it states an exact time!! What's the point of a cutoff time if one can't rely on it!

BRS might be well be a middle man but they are the ones forwarding the order to ORA!

Simple as that!

The point you're missing is that they promised to send a replacement order out and now weeks later nothing has been shipped!!!

Cutoff times are usually rough estimates based on typical workflow. Betting a livestock order on a 40 minute window is a huge gamble no matter where you shop. I hope BRS follows through on their promise to reship, but I would not try this again at any business.

I can see both sides of this, but am in agreement that this is not 100% on BRS. This is the problem with vendors that do not offer consumers to choose shipping date. If that option is not there, us consumers have to rely on their cutoff times. In this respect, agree with the OP. However, BRS appears to have recognized this error and offered to replace the shipment. If they come through on this, no shade can be thrown to BRS.
