Well changed tactics since central air wasn't cuttin it I had to pull out the good ol air conditioners to do the job and will see how that works out

i live in Florida and my a/c broke two weeks ago it was 90 deg in my house but the fish were nice and comfy i kept putting freezer packs in gallon zip locks and putting them next to the powerhead, i did put in a new a/c last Friday so lets hope it stays working

LOL no this is hot for this summer. We have only had like 15 days so far that it has gotten hotter than 70 deg.

Heat index was 115 here in Louisville, KY area. My tank is in the basement, so it stays nice and cool down there.

I've been running outside still at night, but have been running later in the night. Been sweating more than I ever have....I look like I jumped in a pool when I come back from just a 4 mile run.


I'll be in Jersey next week, I was kinda hoping it was a bit cooler there :)

90 degrees with 80-90% humidity as well here in the Ozarks.

Running central air and lights don't go on until 8PM which helps with the daytime heat.

Nice wish I had a pool. Nice look on the solar panels there chalice collector can't beat that gather that energy and hopefully make some dough ontop of it also

Wow that sucked to hear about your pool but on a brighter side I fixxed my central air it needed some cleaning was all so I took the hose and washed it down now I have a happy wife :tongue: and happy wife means happy me :xd: time for hobby :smile: STAY COOL ALL

its cheaper and easier to maintain a chest freezer and its always cold lol

thats the #1 cause of a/c failure and premature failure
alot is lost in clogged colling fins and clogged air filters.
also if your a/c has a pump make sure its cleaned and draining well

well due to the tank being a steady 84 :sad: yesturday turns out i lost a catalina goby :cry:and found him today like this

Start filling up water bottles and freezing them. Then cycle them in your sumps to keep the heat down.

can make RO/DI ice cubes and blow fan across the top of your tanks
