I am about to pull a trigger on a Water box 150.4 because my Red Sea Reefer 350 bottom seal has started to give out on the front glass panel. Red Sea is not going to do anything because I do not have a receipt and its been over 3 years. Purchased November 2019.

Tell me if I am making a good decision please. Are you Water Box owners happy with your tanks? I need a tank that last longer than 3 years this time.

I ran into this thread right after reading of another failure. Guy went into the office today to find the seam shot and leaking. He had video walking through and showing all of the standing water in the office. A 4 y/o 625 XXL.

I had seen all of the failures on here when I was going to get a tank and that is what pushed me towards Waterbox. I have a 130.4 that is great and I have had zero issues with it so far at the 3 year mark. Enjoyed it enough to get one of their 25g tanks for my desk. I am sure there are some failures out there, but no where near the rate of failure in RedSea. WB's customer service is also top notch so I am sure if there is an issue they would be all over it for ya. Good luck on the new set up.

Check out the new IM EXT tanks. They’re on sale still and for the price look to be the best built.

When you tried talking with Red Sea, did you not try to push harder? I’ve seen many G1 owners with seams starting to give have some luck despite no receipt. With the serial you should be able to track the purchase dealer through Red Sea. I’ve seen them shipping the G2 for free plus shipping on the customers part.

Also check out CADE or Nyos. Both are better than Waterbox.

Really liked my Waterbox. Very nice tank, high quality. Can't go wrong with them.
Was going to get another but they refuse to make a larger cube so I ended up coming across Cade aquariums and got one of those. Extremely happy with it and would recommend them to anybody. Top-tier stuff. Lots of pics in my build thread if you're interested.
