Buying Live Sand and would like suggestions

I'm in the market for buying 100lbs 2"- 3" bed of live sand and would like to get everyones suggestions.
I would like to buy from Marco Rocks (Bahama Aragonite Sand) fine not coarse.
I have always had coarse sand and would like to try fine.

Is there a reason you want to buy the live sand? Dry sand will work just fine and you can seed it with a cup from the local fish store or a local hobbyist.

No as far as grain size goes you don't want to fine because it will be a sand storm all the time. That or you will have no flow in your tank. I really like the Tropic Eden Reef Flakes because it is bright white, and just the right size! I like a finer sand as well.

BTW that pic makes it look coarse and large but it is not at all. Here is my tank with the sand in it.

Hmm... ok so what I will do is test fine sand on a nano tank and check out TE-TE03616R30 Premium Aquatics - TE-TE03616R30 Aquarium Supplies

As for seeding my tank I have a 55gl, 20gl, 5.5gl and a 1.66gl... all Saltwater at the moment... 2 are cycling right now, so I should be all set. Also Atlantis Marine Fish and Supplies in Portland Maine (Plug) will definately give me her water change waste... she's just awesome! here is a pic of her Show Tank...

After much debate and mostly with myself I ordered 80lbs of black substrate from Aquarium Substrate for Marine Aquariums: CaribSea Instant Aquarium Substrate Tahitian Moon I know that I might need a ph buffer but I am also in process of curing 85lbs of live rock.

I will start taking pics of my new tank build soon.

Since slugwall has made his decision, Rev would that type of sand be good for a 75g FOWLR. Specifically for the needs of a melanarus wrasse? btw your tank looks awesome

yes would be perfect for them anything lighter they will make dust storms
