I have a 48x24x20 and getting lights I was looking at the ATI Straton or go with a ATI power module 6bukb T5. Would love to hear feedback back I also was thinking of running an 48in aquatic life hybrid with either 2 AI hydra 32 hd or 64hd. Thanks

I’m open to suggestions especially if you own the light my tank I’m will be 80% SPS 20% LPS

On my 80g 48×24×16 I ran 4 xr15 gen 5 blue.
I have the AL hybrid but did not use it on my 150. I went with Photon 50's, tanks 30" wide.
I would look at the Meridian 35 its all you would need.

For this new tank swap, I started yesterday, I am getting rid of my XR30-blues.
Putting Kessel's A360X on it until the ATI get avail here and after I read lots of reviews about them.
If the reviews are not to my liking then I am sticking with Kessil's.

I have straton x lights on my tank. I’m very happy with them. The spread, even lighting, and high par at low power is impressive

I've been half serious about getting the new Straton X for my 240. I would need 2.
After using a pair of CoralCare gen 2 fixtures for the past 6 years, I love the fanless fixture aspect. They are awesome fixtures, but I kind of want to go with those new fixtures.
Kind of like going from a 1 ton truck to a corvette ( appearance wise)

I put a meridian 45 over my new 48x22x22" I have an old 24" 4 bulb t5 hybrid on top over the acro section that runs for 5 hours. I doubt I need the hybrid but it was laying on the shelf so I figured it can't hurt.

PS I was thinking about a 35 but after talking to reefbreeders and telling them the coral I kept they recommended the 45 so I went with that instead of the 35.

Did you not go with the meridian edge cause you had t5 already? And so you think you’ll switch to the edge? Oven been looking at those meridian with 1or 2 edge.

Did you program the Straton yourself or you use one of the presets I was reading thst the presets are really good but everyone has personal preferences and some are lazy and just use presets

Yea I was looking at the meridians really good reviews but you think the 35 is plenty not get the 45?

Quanta lights! They have two new panels (fanless) dropping soon and you can use the money saved to buy some nice frags.
Never heard of quanta I’ll check them out. Thanks

I was looking at adding edge bars but kinda got a sour taste in my mouth when I found out they charge extra for app control on the edge. On the meridian they charge extra for manual control. I'm sure anyone running a meridian on the app is going to want the edge on the same app so I saw it as a cash grab but reef reedbreeders assured me that it isn't and it's to offer options. They did say the manual controlled edge are being phased out.

Yea I heard that you gotta pay a monthly fee to get the good one kinda thought that sucks so started looking at others even though the reviews are really good

Should be no issue running the 35 over 48". I run the Photon 50, 48", over my 60". Plenty of par bottom ends.

I found Straton X in stock can get 2 with the BOT mounts but now I gotta decide if that’s the best option I love how they look but coukd save almost $1000 if I get meridian. Decisions decisions lol

Is it true that when the power goes off when it comes back on the power is 100% across the board? If so that sucks if your out of town and come back and corals are fried

For me the pay to play offering of reefbreeders aren't anything I need so would never pay for them. The whole app control no app control thing just bothered me. I have no complaints on the lights themselves. The company has always been helpful and responsive when I've had questions I'm just not liking the direction the app is heading with pay features to use in lights that have the feature and are very expensive to start with.
