Why did you decide against the Photon v2 and the Dimmable ATI?

From the start I wanted to use t5 and leds but didn't have it in me to build my own at the time. The ATI fixture started acting up on me. The built in timer started giving me issues. Every time the power goes out the screen messes up and the fixture has to be unplugged sometimes for a few hours before it resets . Also, coming back to t5 from led I missed the shimmer and that blue pop you can only get from leds. I use biotek 20k led t5 replacement in one of the channels and that worked decent for the night time glow, but no shimmer.
The v2 was disco ball even with the reds and greens turned off. Was not appealing to my eyes. It just wasn't what I was looking for.

Looks great! I've got a t5/led hybrid that I built hanging over my 75. Love how the t5s fill in all the shadows the leds miss but you still get some shimmer from the leds. It's a nice blend in my opinion

Thank you , I cant wait to get the AP700 in there , it arrives today ....on the truck for delivery!!! Ill have that kessil shimmer with the proven growth from t5's . Best of both worlds.
I am very satisfied how the canopy turned out and its wife approved .

Ap700 is sexy. Hooked up easily ...using Android app even. No problems. At least for now.... seems to be going through the programming. We shall see if the light turns off at 1100 pm o_O

I bet! The always do. My tank in person it's white but in pictures looks super blue. Cameras can't do justice to the beauty
