Looking to buy a cabinet that goes next to the tank to store the ato and hopefully my controllers and power supplies to tidy everything up and not have a rats nest under the tank. If I bought a random cabinet from a box store / Amazon, would that be fine? Like the ato water evap wouldn't cause any damage?

Amazon has some nice cabinets that match my Planet Aquarium stand, but I want to make sure those work before I spend $$ on something...(after I get the wife's approval)

Also if you have other things please share.

I would also look at IKEA. At least you get to see them and not get surprised like on Amazon

Look into electronic sideboard cabinets. They’ll have slatted doors for air flow keeping electronics vented. I bought this one but I don’t think I’d trust it holding a lot of weight for a large ATO.

Amazon product

There are better quality ones out there that’ll be better to hold weight I’m sure

I am taking a trip to Ikea to get a wardrobe to go next to my tank. Plan to house my 50G Kalk drum, controller, 4 head dosers and dosing containers. Will also mount my power supply for my lights on the top and run a single power code to the hanging canopy I am about to finish

One of their furniture lines matching very close to the redsea cabinets and about the perfect dimensions for the spot.

I used 2 Amazon cabinets in my build that fit the room decor and they work very well. I store all electrical in one and all dosing in the other.

Yea I really liked the idea of air flow though the cabinet doors vs my previous enclosed one with vent holes I drilled in the back. Plus the look nice

I found several that I like. I think my biggest concern is will they be able to handle the 100ish lbs of water weight?

Okay so I found one that I like for under $200, but it says make load is 44 lbs per surface. But if I don't put legs on it and just sit it on the floor then the weight limit shouldn't matter right?
