CADE 1200 build

So at the end of the month I’m going to be receiving a CADE 1200, I’ve had multiple tanks but never a “fancy one”. so for that reason, I’m going to do fancy tank with non-fancy items.

I’m going to be product testing some “black box” equipment to begin the overall build and see how it goes. Will be dosing with All for Reef.

If it goes poorly, I have replacements for all.

So far have:
- Jebao DCT 8000
- 3xViparspectra 165W
- 2x Jebao CP-90
- 1X Jebao DP-3 doser.

possible other items in the future: a second pump for a UV sterilizer, (?) space for more.

Non-black box items
- Aquamaxx ConeS Q2
- Jager 300W and 125W with an Inkbird.
- AI 16HD Fuge (might switch for a black box as well to make all the lightning match)
- Thinking of a Clarisea or Reefmat down the line.

Sacrilege! I'd look at implementing a good UV and ReefMat from the outset so you don't have to struggle with retrofitting these at a later date.

The plumbing comes with 2 extra lines and a chiller line as well. I think I don’t want to overdo it at the start, since my bio load is probably going to be pretty low and I’ve been dealing with low nutrients on my other tank.

The problem with this statement is "my bio-load is going to be pretty low". It is amazing how those plans chance once you have a showpiece tank to stock.

Even if you do keep the bio-load low, it is better in my experience to have oversized filtration no matter what. You can always dial it down if you get good oversized stuff, but to scale up from the undersized stuff means replacing.

Haha, I know how it goes. I have a 15G, a 45G and a 90G already. 15g is coral only, 45 has 1 fish, 90 has 3. Mostly care about coral.

Going to put a cover against the back wall and make it look a bit prettier but wanted the tank in a place I could easily vent out the skimmer in case of PH issues as the rooms in my new house are smaller than the old but I have an empty 1ksqft basement.
Checked the lights and they work, so I guess that’s a good thing haha. Moving my other tanks over today.
