Well guess its time to start the build thread. Tank should be here in a week or so.

Cade 600 S2 - 57g Display, 13.5g Sump, 24" Cube.
Sicce Silent 5.0 Return Pump
Nero 3 Wavemaker for Flow
Fuge where the Skimmer section is (No Skimmer on this build). Miracle mud in the bottom with some rock and Chaeto. Then to the 3 media baskets filled with Marine Pure Bio Balls and a slot for Chemi Pure if I need it. This will be Lit by Tunze Eco Chic Refugium Light
AI Hydra 32 For Lighting.

Plans - Going to be a mix reef, Mainly Softies/LPS/Zoa's. No SPS Really (Possibly a birdnest, thats it).

Just went out and Bought an Aqueon 20H Tank for my QT tank. Got an air pump/air stone. Just ordered a HOB Filter/Copper Power/Prazi/ Hanna checker for copper/Heater. All for the QT. Plan on a 62 Day QT. 35 Days of Copper, Then 2 weeks of Prazi, followed by 2 weeks of observation.

I rolled the dice to the gods on my last tank and everything was fine, no real diseases on my fish until I made the mistake of buying from Petco, 1 cardinal introduced brook into my tank and wiped out half my fish. Not making that mistake again. Everything will be QT'ed going into DT.

Plus this will force me to wait on really adding abunch of coral to the tank before its really ready. 60 days per QT and I'm not getting all the fish at once, its going to be months before I start adding coral, so let the tank mature for awhile. Sucks it will take this long, but nature of the hobby.

I'll start posting pics once my orders from BRS come in and I get the QT setup, then I'll make my first fish order. Still very undecided on fish plan as well. Was going to do some type of Firefish (was going helfrichi, but pricing keeps going up, so maybe purple/exquiste) and a carpenter's wrasse was probably going to be my first order and the first 2 fish in the DT once they come out of QT.

Rest of fish stock plan, I have no idea was thinking maybe a trio of barlett's anthias and call it a day.

Thanks for following along!

Tank has arrived. That was a pain in the butt. They sent an 18 wheeler into my small residential neighborhood. They double stacked it, so it was extremely high up to get the tank off, lot of heavy weight lifting at head level. The crate was crate but no screws, these little metal tabs you had to bend. Took like 45 min just to get them all unbent so I could get the crate off.
Packaged well though. Thing sits really tall. Like really tall. First tank I’ll have that I don’t have to bend to look in the tank.

Got the stand and tank in house and on 3/4” plywood on top of the carpet and between the leveling feet and shims I got it leveled.

probably do plumbing and leak test Sunday

Well tank is filled, rock/sand/MM/bio balls and even more rock in the fuge all in. Dumped the whole bottle of turbo start in there. So fishless cycle is going! Probably dose it with ammonia in a couple of days.

Also 2 little clowns are in the QT. They are just hanging out non medicated until I get my 2 other fish on Wednesday from LiveAquaria. Then I'll slowly bring up the Copper level and start the clock.

No pics as the water is still cloudy, once it clears up, I'll toss some pics up to show off the scape and fishes.

Right on. Looking good! I also recently took a Cade delivery. Was a major pain in the butt, to have 48 hours to conduct an inspection and have them double stacked. I got the 1200, luckily a buddy was able to show up with a material hoist. I still have a ways to go on my build, so I wasn’t planning on having to get help moving it yet. Good luck! They sure are good looking tanks.

Oh god I couldn't even imagine the 1200 double stacked. The 600 was bad enough. The delivery driver helped me get the tank down after I got it uncrated from the inspection. My wife couldn't have done it. I was super nervous that even I could lift it from that height. 1200 I probably would have cried lol.

Yeah I wasn’t just gonna ask my neighbors to help unstack a $4k aquarium. Could you imagine one of them cracking it. Thank goodness I had a bit of a favor to call in.

Ok tank cleared up. Got led lights installed in the bottom. Waiting on BRS Heater + Inkbird controller and then I’ll clean up all the cords and controllers neatly. But she’s almost ready to coast for awhile while we do QT on fishes.

its 3/4" Plywood and I didn't actually cut it, it was left over from previous work I had done along time ago and was just sitting as scrap in my workroom, just happened to fit, I would have preferred it not to stick out from the edges like this, but it actually works well, cause I've needed to move the tank/stand multiple times. But when I measured it, I think its like 28x28"

Well the Sharknose Goby arrived yesterday DOA. The purple firefish was supposed to arrive yesterday and got delayed in Memphis. Arrived this morning and shockingly the dude was still alive. Ice packs were beyond melted. So temp acclimation was good. I cup acclimated him as fast as I could to get him out of that toxic water in the bag, put him in the QT tank, I had just fed the 2 clowns and some pellets were still floating around and he even grabbed one and ate it. His colors are very muted. Think I'm going to give him a few days, maybe even a week before I start dosing the QT tank with copper. Let him recuperate from that 2 day shipping.

Well took 3 days, but got the copper level to 2.41. So the clock is started, I'll probably try to add just a little more tomorrow to get it to 2.5, but I know over 2 is theraputic.
