And expect/anticipate a drop in dkh as you lower salinity
It needs to drop, it was at 11 or 12 or something stupid. Which was just as concerning since nothing was being dosed.

Part of what made me realize I needed to verify salinity against another source actually

Also pulled both panels of the lid and hosed them off to remove any salt creep. I should take this opportunity to clean the glass both inside and out since I'm siphoning over the next few days - but my neck is killing me from today's siphoning & all the brooder bin clean out so I think it's break time while I wait for the tank to stabilize after what I just did and I'll check to see where it's sitting in a little bit.

Was aiming to drop to 1.028 but accidentally got closer to 1.0275

Everyone seems fine though. In fact, some corals seem happier, one of my toadstools that has been grumpy lately has polyps out right now.

I think I'll check calcium and alk to see what it did to that later on.

Tank looks fine this morning, no signs or concerns from yesterdays adjustments. I'll do more tonight after work.

1.029....

Cube was at 1.026, so a little high but nothing insane
1.029 isn't ridiculous. I usually make my water change water at 1.028 and run around 1.026-1.027.

I'm sure everything was fine because it happened over time and was gradual instead of instant.

But I'm not happy about it and I'm certain its contributing to the climbing levels.

I'm glad I checked because I have corals and fish I need to move over and absolutely would have caused some shock.
