Im interested in buying a Cade 1800 Peninsula.

Anyone have one or a cade in general?

Would like to hear opinions on quality and longevity

Thanks!

Don’t have one. But they are a premium brand and I’ve not heard a bad thing about them.

I'm on my second Cade tank and love it, the quality and design is outstanding and I haven't had any issues with it at all touch wood.

They are very nice tanks when looking at the sizes you want. However, since most of them dont allow roll filters and require socks, I turned away from them. If the tank is exactly what you want, as in sump design etc, its great and very well made. However if there is something you aren't really a fan of. I highly recomend you go for custom. I ran into this problem when looking at the 1200. The tank was too high for me and the sump design was small and poorly designed. However at the size your looking at it is much better!

You can install a roller into cades no problem, I’ve done it with my old 600 and my current 900.
I’m looking at getting a 1200 in the future and the sump design is great, plenty of room for everything and comes with a fuge if you want to utilise it.
The 90cm cabinet isn’t tall it’s actually pretty standard now, and for me personally it’s a perfect height.
They are quality tanks and I would highly recommend them over other brands, plus the customer service is fantastic.

Do you like the strength of glass and silicon? Ive only had euro braced tanks. 220g non euro braced makes me a little nervous

I recently upgraded from a waterbox to a cade. Best decision I have ever made. Sump is excellent and fits everything I need with room to spare.

From what I’ve seen personally and online, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. They are built rock solid and if I had the room I’d be getting a 6ft peninsula myself.

Which cade did you get?
Cade Reef 1500 S2

I'm running a Reef Factory roller large, no mods required to fit it in. Skimmer is a Octo Regal 200s, I have it sitting where the media baskets usually are, and im using the skimmer area as an oversized refugium.

I just got a Cade 2100 (and had a Cade 1200 for 5-6 years). Very nice tanks, amazing quality, but $$$$.

Can you send a pic of how your sump is set up? I'm currently looking into this.

Clarisea 5000 fit easily in the sock area of my 1200-unless you want the Reefmat bells and whistles, I think this is a really good option for this tank if you end up getting it. My only regret with my 1200 is that I did not go for the 1500 .

Loving the CADE 2100, no problems but I was a bit worried at one point about the slight deflection that happens in the front and back panels. Together the deflection at the very middle is .3 inches maybe slightly less which is in the acceptable range from what I am told.

I am also told the German wacker silicone bond between the panels is a step above the competition.

Some pics, it’s roughly a year old now.
