When we moved house, my Waterbox 220.6 was badly chipped. Insurance paid out so in the market for a replacement tank. No custom builders where I live so limited to brand tanks.

One of the tanks Im considering is the Cade Altumate S2 1800. I can see pros and cons of the 80 cm display height but in my mind the increase height and depth will be great for aquascaping.

Unfortunately there are little to no threads/posts are other content on it being used as a reef tank.

Anyone on here with experience and feedback?

Other tanks being considered are:
WB infinia 230.6
WB 290.6 LX (too expensive at this stage)
Cade Reef S3 1800

Bumping this but probably can assume not many have a Cade Altumate.

I am thinking of buying this one too... looks great? Definitely pros and cons to the increased height but it would look fantastic IMO

Get the altumate, you’ll love it

The 80cm height changes everything, looks significantly larger and empowering in a room. I’m 6ft can’t reach the bottom on a ladder.

That's a nice tank! Following your build thread. I see you're ex-Tassie. Im down in Margate (originally from South Africa).

How did you go about getting a custom setup? Cost a lot more than the standard variants?

Small world

If you email Adam/cade he will build any dimensions you want.
I would personally go for s3 over s2, build quality a lot better
Custom cades are pricey

what are the dimensions on that bad boy, looks incredible
measuring up our space and hallways for delivery i might be limited to an 1800 s2 unfortunately, really want the s3 2200
