Hello!
I believe it's about time to get on track of my build for myself to see the progress as well as for anyone who may be in my shoes one day!
It has been a wild ride, my setup changed quiet drastically as far as lighting and filteration goes. Luckily, the setup now is running very stable and all my stock is happy and thanking me for it!
I tried few lighting setups, but finally reverted back to the type of lights i knew most... Halides!
I purchased a Hamilton cebu sun fixture (4ft) that has 2x 250W halides (hamilton's 20k) and 4x T5s (ATI C+, KZ super Blues, Giesemann Actinics)..
I slowly stocked my tank with different SPS and few LPS from my travels and through some helpful fellow reefers.
Filteration; i kept it simple, a clean sockless sump with large skimmer and a bag of media...
I'm currently running a calcium reactor (Geo 612x2) fed by a sicce 0.5 pump and a carbon doser regulator.
Current shots of the setup and some cell photos of the livestock:
Along with the Carx, i'm currently dosing a tiny bit of acropower and iodide (2ml and 1ml) every other day to see if this will help my system. Doing so via a calibrated GHL 2.1SA doser....
That is about it for now, i will keep updating this thread with more progress hopefully on weekly basis (it's been a month and a half now since we have been under lockdown here from Covid-19)..and hopefully i will take better shots!
