Yes it does play a bit of a role in the overall appearance when the MH's and LED's are on together. I really added it for night viewing when its just the reefbrite on.

Went with the 250w really liking it so far. How high about the water is your hanging?

Nice !!! I have mines about 12 inches above water, Andy tank is also 20" deep like yours . All seem to b coloring up and growing at a ok rate

Love that light unit, agree on your height. Your corals will stay colorful that way.

Update. Changed the t5's to 2xBlue+ 2xActinic in the Giesemann. Started dosing Vinegar and ive never seen my tank look this good.
