Hey everyone, I tried various ways to supplement (dose) liquid calcium... but the end of my hose always seem to be building up some solid calcium and sometime even get clogged up and then squirt the thing all around.
I wonder if anyone experiences this and what have you done about it? Thanks.

This happens when the high concentrated calcium solution come in contact with carbonates - it will form calcium carbonate and clog up the outlet.

Let the tube end 5 - 15 cm from the surface, protect it from splash and clean it now and then.

If it is not getting splashed on, it may just be evaporated solution solidifying on it. Just rinsing it into the tank once in a while would be adequate if that is it. There is no specific reaction with air.

I guess I won't find a way out of 'cleaning' thanks guys (im thinking of directing my fresh water top off onto the dosing hoses as a last test tho).

That should be fine.

Connect your fresh water top with help of a T around 10 cm before the end of the calcium tube. I have nearly the same problem with my alk tube. Will test that.

Just place your ATO tube on top of the dosing tubes. It'll wash the tip and can keep the tube from clogging a lot longer. ;)
