calcium reactor adjustment

I recently set up my calcium reactor. It is keeping my calcium level(actually slowly rising) but my alkalinity is slowy falling. I was told this could be adjusted by altering flow into the reactor. Any suggestions? Thanks

Should it be fizzing? I have had it fizz and not fizz. what is the fizzing about? Thanks
