Is there any benefit to putting the effluent from the calcium reactor directly into the DT as opposed to say in the return pump chamber? I'm thinking along the lines of less precipitating out on the return pump.

The best location is usually before your Refugium. That way your macro algae can use the CO2 and not drop the tank PH as much. If you do not have a Refugium your plan makes sense as long as it is in a high flow area.
