I watch way too many of them time after time get picked off by bigger fish, so I save some of them and give them a better life (uneaten) puffers, pipefish. Basically keep them till they get a little older and take them down to the oceanography Institute where they re acclimate them and eventually release

So you do this to help a science institution?
I do it to save the fish from getting eaten, raise them, take them to the institute and they release them back into the wild when they are past they're teens haha. I have a holding tank at my buddies where they undergo qt and into population.

No mandarins nor dragonets, mainly blennys, pipefish, filefish, reticulated puffers (which look really cool) the pipefish I can just stick my hand in the water and scoop them out....and they just hang there haha. I like pipe fish the most out of any fish. Thinking about putting one in qt and keeping him in my 120

Only during spring and early summer. I can keep which ever ones I want but never really do. I just like saving them from the predators. .....which I watch eat them before my eyes like a feeding frenzy, so I save the ones I can.

Oh hey man. I was wondering if my gold hammer would get a deeper gold color as it matures/grows more heads
Sometimes lighter, sometimes darker or stay the same. It depends on type of light, how much light, and how long are they on for. I got this one from wwc and its stayed the same color, just gotten bigger. Cantget a good shot so this is wwc's pic of when i bought it.
