Long story short, I got a Wilsoni a year ago, It was a fresh (same week) 2" cutting, that got some extra added stress from my Pistol shrimp trying to drag it into its cave. I almost lost the frag, but nursed it back from one mouth to about 6 now.

I recently moved it into my new larger system. It's in a shaded area midway up, and I have never seen it happier. But with a few online vendors showing them off this week, I am seeing mixed results on them being a sand only coral.

I still have time to move it, but seems so happy where it is...

Awesome, the 280 Gyre (Running only on +10% and -20 in short waves...man this thing moves water compared to my smaller model in my Reefer 170) in the back shoots upward to break the water surface up, it also crashes along the main structure before hitting the top of the glass and rolling down. I don't think the Wilsoni gets anything direct at all. You can see how it moved my sandbed in the way the flow tends to run. I am going to try and dwarf my Mangroves up top after some more growth, and focus on them rooting more than branching. , but they already help break the flow up and add some turbulance as well.

I am only a few months into this new build, and loving it. The cube is going to be HEAVY LPS and I have a small Antennata Lionfish helping me keep the nutrients up with feedings. He's creepin in the original pic.
