can anyone ID this? Can’t get a good photo of it but it’s purplish black. Lots of “holes” and when I blow some water on it from a turkey Baster it looks like it closes up.

My guess, from what you describe is Tunicates....... They “react” when disturbed.
 
Hmm. This one is hard to tell. Is it soft or harder when you touch it?

I just looked it up and it doesn’t look like the same structure? Looks like a brain coral with lots of mouths. A few are open larger than the rest

Sounds like a tunicate
 
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Just read up on tunicates. Seems like they’re hard to keep based on what they feed.
